The Charles Causley Festival

2018’s annual Charles Causley Festival (the 9th one!) is on its way, with an attractive and varied programme offering something for everyone. It runs from the evening of Thursday 31 May  until the evening of Sunday 3 June 2018.

The headline opening attraction for this year is the well-known and well-loved poet and broadcaster, Roger McGough — accompanied by LITTLe MaCHINe, firm Festival favourites who have supported headline poets in previous Causley Festivals.

Port Eliot, a Grade 1 listed house and grounds, opened to the public for the first time in March 2008. Home to the Eliot family since 1564 Port Eliot is one of the most magical and hidden stately homes in England with a long and fascinating history.

The Wharf Arts Centre

The Wharf is located between the River Tavy and Tavistock Canal. It was built in the 18th century as a busy industrial centre, and was converted to its present form by the local council in 1995. Since then it has been privately run as an arts centre offering live music, cinema, theatre and other events.There is also an Art Gallery, a popular Coffee Shop and a Licensed Bar with a uniquie waterside terrace.

Cotehele (National Trust) The front of Cotehele House, Cornwall

Cotehele is a National Trust-owned Tudor house with extensive garden, orchards, estate, quay and working water mill. The garden and estate walks are open daily throughout the year. The house is open daily from April to the beginning of November. The mill is open every day from mid March to the end of October.

Tavistock Pannier Market

Tavistock Music and Arts Festival

Two Months of Music, Art and Literary Events in Devon’s Top Award Winning Market Town
