Cobweb is a stylish holiday cottage, a romantic getaway in a fabulous riverside location, providing comfortable self-catering accommodation for two (king-size double) on a weekly (Friday) or 3/4-night basis. A good pub is just 6-7 min by car; village stores, PO, chemist, butcher's and fish-n-chip shop 5 mins.
Right on the Devon bank of the River Tamar, at the north of Weir Quay, Cobweb is in the heart of an AONB and close to Dartmoor National Park, with its 365 square miles of moorland wilderness, myriad opportunities and country pubs. It is 2 miles from Bere Alston and 8 miles from Tavistock, with its independent shops, pannier market, sporting facilities and cultural venues.
Large windows light the detached cottage's pine-floored, open-plan living space, with a neat kitchen (fridge-freezer, gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher) dining table and two-sofa sitting area with woodburner, TV/DVD (Freeview), CD/Radio, iPod dock, Wifi connection and river view. Plymouth centre is 20 mins by train or 40 by car; the Eden Project and north Cornwall's sandy beaches and fine surf are 60 mins.
Guests have own slate patio and use of a sitting area with amazing river outlook. Price includes electricity, gas, bed linen, bath towels, maps, tourism leaflets, tips on pubs/restaurants, a big basket of logs, bottle of wine and box of free-range eggs.
