I strive to create positive, lively imagery, inspired by the beauty ofthe natural land.
I paint honestly, interpreting the scene with bold exaggerated
colours, striving to fill the canvas with energy and light. Whether
using oil or watercolour I paint quickly using a wet on wet technique,
with strong and fluid strokes using a brush or palette knife. I build
texture in areas using layers of paint, and scratch into the canvas to
suggest detail and structure.
I am constantly inspired by colour, shape and light and enjoy bringing
my description of them to the canvas
